Rotary Paper Day, Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Tiblow Trot Race
Mark your calendar. The Bonner Springs Rotary Club is making an impact on our community!
Join us Friday, April 4th for Greater Kansas City Day (Paper Day). Members are selling Kansas City Star newspapers on the main corners in Bonner Springs in the morning. The funds raised will support the Bonner Springs YMCA youth scholarship fund.
Monday, April 21st Rotary will award three $1,000 scholarships to Bonner Springs High School students at the Rotary Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Dinner at Tall Oaks. Scholarship funds are raised through various local fundraisers by the Bonner Springs Rotary Club.
Saturday, August 23rd at 7 a.m. is the 36th Annual Bonner Springs Rotary Tiblow Trot 2 Mile Walk and 5 Mile Run. Register online now. Meet at Kelly Murphy Park at 2nd and Elm Street in Bonner Springs, KS. All funds raised go toward scholarships and the Rotary’s Polio Plus Program to end Polio worldwide.

35th Annual Tiblow Trot 2 Mile Walk & 5 Mile Run, August 24
The 35th Annual Bonner Springs Rotary Tiblow Trot 2 Mile Walk and 5 Mile Run is August 24th at 7 a.m. Register online now. Meet at Kelly Murphy Park at 2nd and Elm Street in Bonner Springs, KS. All funds raised go toward scholarships and the Rotary’s Polio Plus Program to end Polio worldwide.
Tiblow Trot 5 Mile run: $20 until August 21 / $25 Day of Race
Tiblow Walk 2 Mile Walk: $20 until August 21 / $25 Day of Race
Kids Run or Walk (12 and under): $10 until August 21 / $11 Day of Race

- Traveling trophy for USD 204 school with the most participants
- Drawing for prizes donated by the Bonner Springs merchants will follow the awards ceremony
- All race finishers and walkers are eligible for the drawing

Bonner Springs Rotary Club Honors BSHS Students with Three $1,000 Scholarships
Fellow Rotarians presented three $1,000 scholarships at the Rotary Scholarship Awards Ceremony and Dinner at Tall Oaks. BSHS Senior Scholarship awardees from left to right are Andrea Wiglesworth – RICHARD BURNS AWARD, Jordan Lackner – DEL HININGER and Cassady Holloway – ROBERT CLARK AWARD.
In addition, Juniors Scholars were also honored from left to right are Emily Prince – LANGUAGE ARTS, Tre Scott – SCIENCE, Austin Schuler – MATHMATICS and Ryan Turner – INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY. Denni Pressley, Rachel Barber, Brianna Sawyer and Justin Carroll were not present for the photo. Ryan Turner’s dad, Mike, was the recipient of the same recognition for Industrial Technology in 1972.
Scholarship funds were raised through various local fundraisers by the Bonner Springs Rotary Club.
