Mayor’s Banquet hosted by the Bonner Springs Rotary
More than 200 runners and walkers participated in the 35th Annual Tiblow Trot 5 Mile Run/2 Mile Walk
and the 35th Annual Tiblow Trot 5 Mile Run/2 Mile Walk. Bonner Springs Rotarian and Race Coordinator Bruce Coleman said, “This year, we had 54 walkers and 160 runners, raising more than $3,000 for Bonner Springs High School scholarships and for the Polio Plus campaign. This race just keeps growing, and the Bonner Springs Rotary is proud to give back to our community.” Coleman shared there are race shirts available (no mediums) if interested in purchasing. Rotary President Judy Miksch sharing the almost 80 year impact the Bonner Springs Rotary has served its community.
The Marion Vaughn Community Service Award was given posthumously to Al Stuchlik, former Bonner Springs City Council member and volunteer for organizations like Vaughn-Trent Community Services, VFW Post 6401 and the Bonner Springs Horseshoe Tournament. Stuchlik’s daughters accepted the award on his behalf.

Mayor’s Banquet on Friday, August 23, 6-9 p.m. at the Bonner Springs High School cafeteria, located at 100 McDanield Bonner Springs, KS 66012. Mayor Harrington will give the “State of the City” address and present the Marion Vaughn Community Service Award to Al Stuchlik posthumously. Judy Miksch, Rotary Club President, will make a short presentation on the Rotary Club’s activities for the past year. The featured speaker is Dan Brungardt, Unified School District No. 204 Superintendent.
The 35th Annual Bonner Springs Rotary Tiblow Trot 2 Mile Walk and 5 Mile Run is August 24th at 7 a.m. Register online now. Or download the 2013 Tiblow Trot Form, print and mail in.
