Scholarships for Students (April 2026)

The Bonner Springs Rotary recognized six outstanding students who have been awarded Bonner Springs Rotary scholarships this year.

Rock the Parkway (April 2026) 

Rotarians served as course monitors for the Rock the Parkway Half Marathon supporting Children's Mercy Hospital.

Bonner Springs Rotarians take the plunge in support of Happy Hearts Working.

Holiday Get Together (Dec 2025)

Rotary holiday get-together at Range 23! Good company, lots of laughs, and a wonderful evening celebrating the season together.
 

Salvation Army Bell Ringing (Dec 2025)

 

Bonner Springs Rotarians spread holiday cheer in December by volunteering as bell ringers for the Salvation Army. Through the generosity of our community, the club raised $1,643 to support local Salvation Army programs that serve those in need.

Adding to the fun was a friendly bell-ringing competition with the Shawnee Rotary Club. While Shawnee Rotary ultimately brought in more donations this year, the spirit of fellowship and service made the experience a win for both clubs—and for the community we proudly serve.

 

Dictionary Delivery (Oct 2025)

Supporting education is one of our favorite traditions.  The Club delivered dictionaries to all third-grade students in the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville School District.  Picture shows Rotary members preparing dictionaries for delivery.

Halloween Story Trail (Oct 2025)

The Bonner Springs Rotary participated in the City of Bonner Springs Halloween Story Trail.  We loved seeing all the costumes and sharing treats.  Rotary members joined in with creative costumes of their own.

Community Garden (Oct 2025)

A successful year for the Bonner Springs Rotary Community Garden. All produce from the garden benefitted Cross-Lines Community Outreach Inc. helping provide fresh healthy food to local families in needs.  Our garden produced 2,155 lbs of food.  Way to go gardeners!!

Pints for Polio (Oct 2025)

Pints for Polio was a success!   We raised $755 at the Outfield Beer Company event.
 
Tiblow Trot (August 2025)
The Bonner Springs Rotary Club hosted the 47th Annual Tiblow Trot on Saturday, August 23, 2025. This year’s race was one for the books, with over 400 runners and walkers taking part — the largest turnout in the event’s history.
 
The proceeds from the Tiblow Trot event are used primarily to fund scholarships for Bonner Springs High School graduates, helping students pursue their educational goals. In addition, funds also support Rotary International’s PolioPlus initiative and other local and global service projects.

Ice Cream Social (June 2025)

A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us at the Ice Cream Social during the June 5 City bank concert.  We had a sweet time serving up treats and listening to some amazing music.

We raised $654 in donations - all going to support Children's Mercy's mental health programs. 

Kentucky Derby (May 2025)

The Bonner Springs Rotary Club's fifth annual Kentucky Derby event held on May 3, 2025, attracted over 180 guests to support Vaughn Trent Community Services (a local food pantry). The evening included Derby wagering, mouse races, mouse roulette, a silent auction, dinner, drinks, and desserts.
 
The Rotary was able to donate $13,500 to Vaughn Trent Community Services, surpassing last year's total by $2,500. Donations will help to ensure no one faces hunger in our community. This strong turnout and generous contributions showed the community’s commitment to food insecurities. 

Community Garden (May 2025)

Bonner Springs Rotarians planted a community garden.  Produce from our garden will be provided to Crosslines a local community outreach program. Plantings included tomatoes, peppers, squash and melons. Here's to a great growing season!
 

City Wide Clean Up (April 2025)

Bonner Springs Rotary participated in the annual City-wide Clean Up by picking up trash along 138th Street.  This event was sponsored by the Bonner Beautiful Commission, Bonner Springs Parks and Recreation, and the Community Development Department. Thanks to everyone who participated!
 

High School Scholarships (April 2025)

The Bonner Springs Rotary was able to celebrate Bonner Springs High School scholarship recipients at our luncheon on Monday, April 21, 2025. Rachel Beck received the Robert Clark Memorial Scholarship; Jada Houston received the Del Hininger Memorial Scholarship; Madison Maynard received the Bonner Springs Rotary Club Scholarship, Hudson Razak received the Richard Burns Memorial Scholarship; Jacob Robinson received the Del Coleman Memorial Scholarship and Drake DeLeon received the Darrell Donahue Memorial Scholarship.  Congratulations to all!

Holiday Get Together (December 2024)

The Club enjoyed an evening of relaxing and socializing at Range 23 Taproom in downtown Bonner Springs.  If you haven't been to this wonderful taproom - it's a must when you visit downtown Bonner Springs.
 

Salvation Army Bell Ringing (December 2024)

Bell ringing at the Bonner Springs Walmart for the Salvation Army!  The Bonner Springs Rotary continued their challenge with the Shawnee Rotary Club to see who could raise the most money ringing bells.   

The winning club was the Bonner Springs Rotary!!!  We were able to raise $2,106 ringing bells for those in need.

Pints for Polio (November 2024)

A fundraising event was held at Olde Mill Properties in Bonner Springs to raise funds to END POLIO NOW. Over $1,200 was raised along with an evening of networking. Thanks for all who supported this event. 

Halloween Story Trail (October 2024)

The Bonner Springs Rotary enjoyed participating in the City Halloween Story Trail on October 26, 2024. Some Rotarians dressed up more than others however a spooky time was had by all.

This fun event was sponsored by the City of Bonner Springs and included a story trail with candy, a witchcackling contest, a pumpkin pie eating contest (YUM!) and a facebook costume contest.

Dictionary Delivery to 3rd Graders (September 2024)

The Bonner Springs Rotary delivered dictionaries to all 3rd grade students at the following schools: Bonner Springs Elementary School, Delaware Ridge Elementary School, Edwardsville Elementary School, and Stony Point Elementary School. The 3rd graders and their teachers were very excited to receive these dictionaries which will assist the students throughout the school year.

 

Tiblow Trot (August 2024)

A record-breaking number of participants (#373) in our 46th annual Tiblow Trot! This event is sponsored by the Bonner Springs Rotary and supports local high school scholarships. Thanks to everyone who volunteered with this event!
