3 NEW Members Inducted, Volunteers Needed & HALO Featured Program

The Bonner Springs Rotary officially welcomed in three new club members: Dan Brungardt, Tim McGraw, and Grant Lambert. Congrats to these individuals for their commitment to making a difference in our community. If you are interested in getting involved in the Bonner Springs Rotary, please contact us. “Friends of Rotary” are also welcome to get involved. We have several volunteer opportunities coming up and need your help. This month, we are doing “Christmas in October.” This provides needed home repair assistance to local homeowners who lack the skills or resources necessary to undertake the repairs themselves. Contact us to get involved.

The HALO Foundation Kansas City Learning Center Director Carly Manijak shared the amazing local impact that HALO is making in Kansas City. HALO is headquartered in the West Bottoms in the Kansas City Livestock Building. Its mission is empowering youth in the greatest need to become contributing members of their communities. Internationally, HALO supports 11 orphanages and programs in Uganda, Kenya, Mexico, India, and Nicaragua. This includes providing food, water, shelter, clothing, education, art therapy, caretakers, and vocational training or college for youth in the greatest need. Locally, HALO partners with area homeless shelters, residential care facilities, and transitional living programs to provide art therapy and life skills-based programming to youth in the greatest need.
